Monster Mash

Trying to come up with a cool Halloween costume for my little Godzilla is tough.  I have $0 to spend on it, so it has forced me into creative mode....which truth be told, I don't mind at all - love it!  I dug through some of my 12 year old son's clothes that I have been saving for Godzilla and came across a green sleeveless shirt that will make a perfect tunic for either a knight or a jester (still trying to decide which one to make him).  I have a neat jester hat that would fit the bill and since Godzilla doesn't mind wearing hats, I think that this may be his costume.  Of course it's not exactly balmy weather this time of year in Wisconsin, so I will have to put a sweatshirt on him under the tunic, but I know it will work great.  I know if I were passing out candy, just taking one look at his sweet little face would make me want to pour on the candy...lol!  I may be prejudiced, but I know it's true, because I am the same way when I see little ones myself!

I love this community we are living in.  Everyone meets on Halloween in the afternoon at a prescribed location, and we all travel as a group, walking around this small town, going door to door.  The population is less than 1000, so it's not that hard to do things like this.

The time is ticking down now...2 more days until the fun begins!

Cryin' Godzilla Tears

Getting a three year old, who loves the great outdoors, to understand that we can't go outside in rainy, wintry type weather is very difficult. I don't know that it would be any easier if he were at his correct developmental level, but it is frustrating for the little guy that he can't go outside and play. If it weren't raining of course, we could bundle up and get outside, but unfortunately it's not going to happen right now.

Godzilla did something funny today...while I was sitting at the computer earlier, he crawled into my lap and lit up when I started to sing the chorus from the "Godzilla" song. He loves to join in when I get to the phrase "Go, go, Godzilla" and "yeah". It is so cute to hear him join in on his theme song. How many three year olds do you know who have their own theme song...LOL!
